POSITION SUMMARY

Apprentice Pipefitters required for a pipe fabrication ship along with modular assembly located in Crossfield working with spools ranging from 3 / 4" to 48" in diameter.

• Based out of Crossfield fabrication facility
• Shift is Monday to Friday
• 10 hour days

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, acorn, P&ID’s, etc.)
• Assist journeyperson pipefitters and welders with spool fabrication
• Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages
• Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging
• Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
• Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required lengths
• Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
• Assist with trailer loading and unloading

QUALIFICATIONS Education

Must be a registered 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors
