We are currently seeking candidates who are qualified for the role of Welding Technologist Co-op

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to) :

• Assisting with automated welding work
• Assist in writing welding programs
• Support with machine configuration setups and switch including LASER powder vs LASER Wire vs PAW vs TIG
• Assisting with various projects as requested
• Performing documentation functions
• Assist in welding development tasks
• Assisting with quality control processes
• Observing and assisting with shop floor and hands-on tasks

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills

Key Education / Experience Requirements

Automated welding experience an asset

• Basic welding experience beneficial
• Working knowledge of welding processes, welding fabrication and quality control preferred
• Interest in material and welding metallurgy an asset
• Multiple language skills an asset
• Availability for an 8 month co-op position from Jan 2025 Aug 2025
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Current registration in a co-op eligible post secondary program
