Role : Warehouse Associate Wire Cutting with forklift

Location : Calgary, Alberta

We are looking for a Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator for a distribution company in the Calgary area!

Your main tasks as Warehouse Associate Wire Cutting with forklift :

• Wind wire / cable from one large wooden spool to another, cutting it to specific lengths, sometimes from 2000 to 4000 meters, so that spools can be very large.
• Move the reels using large sit-down forklifts.
• Prepare, pack and assemble customer orders for shipment.
• Receive and accurately store incoming orders and materials in the warehouse.
• Perform regular inventories and help maintain accurate inventory controls.
• Create shipping and production documents such as bills of lading, labels and other administrative documents.
• Use shipping software such as Purolator, UPS, etc.
• Use math, reading and basic computer skills to complete and process customer orders while meeting deadlines and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

The required qualifications of the Warehouse Associate Wire Cutting with forklift :

• Excel with experience of using hand tools and machines.
• Sit-down forklift experience / certification is required.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good physical condition.
