Position Summary
The main goal of a Travel Consultant is to sell an entire package to guests, including accommodations, activities and transportation, through on-line chat, email and phone.
A Travel Consultant cultivates a strong relationship with their customer database and builds on our high level of service to generate and maintain sales levels.
Shifts are 4 x 10 hour days. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Tourism Whistler and Whistler.com ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
- Answer inbound calls, provide quotes to online vacation requests, and answer customer questions, emails & voice mails
- Execute various outbound calls including concierge, up sell calls, informational and customer focused
- Effectively communicate with Online Chat inquiries, quotes and actively pursue sales leads generated via the online chat with guests
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals on a daily, weekly & monthly basis
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors and colleagues
- Respond to all guests in a timely, professional and friendly manner
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of Whistler
- Effective time management skills with the ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, through the telephone, on-line chat and email
- Commitment to customer service
- Strong attention to detail
- Skilled problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
- A team player who can also work independently
- Computer skills including MS Office, and a variety of cloud based software
