Job Responsibilities :

• Provide personal care to residents according toindividual care plans
• Assist residents withactivities of daily living in a compassionate and respectfulmanner
• Monitor and report changes inresidents' health status to the nursing staff
• Maintain a clean and safe environment forresidents
• Assist with meal preparation andfeeding as needed
• Engage residents inrecreational and social activities
• Ensureresidents' dignity and privacy are respected at alltimes

EssentialQualifications :

• Completion of aPersonal Support Worker (PSW) program or equivalent certificationor Valid certification as a Continuing Care Assistant(CCA)
• Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in ateam environment
• Strong organizational andtime management skills
• Understanding of theneeds of elderly residents and individuals withdisabilities

DesiredExperience :

• Prior experienceworking in a longterm care or nursing home setting
• Experience providing care to individuals withAlzheimer's or dementia
• Familiaritywith electronic medical records systems
