Title : Traditional Wellness Specialist

Contract : Permanent

About the role

As a Traditional Wellness Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, delivery and coordination of the development and implementation of an integrated traditional wellness program.

The role ensures services and investments are in alignment with the overarching, holistic Northern First Nations Wellness Plan and Northern Communities as determined by the Regional Director.

This role also assists the Senior Regional Team in developing a Traditional Healing strategy and funding framework for investment in traditional wellness, health and healing methods in the North.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrated coursework in First Nations studies
  • 4-6 years of significant, recent, and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of both
  • Experience in regional health authority systems / services
  • Experience coordinating and delivering traditional wellness / medicine within community
