The Kamloops Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN)Team has a strong reputation for delivering impactful services while fostering a culture of mutual support.
The team is made up of 5 CYSN workers and a team leader, all dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families with diverse support needs.
This well established team works collaboratively to create a positive environment, ensuring that every team member and the people they serve feel valued and respected.
The Role
The CYSN Social Program Officer (SPO) Assistant role primarily supports social workers on the team, helping coordinate services for people in need and their families.
Key responsibilities include assisting with case management, maintaining contact with children-in-care (CIC), foster parents, and families, and implementing planned moves of CIC.
The position also involves liaising with community services and collaborating with ministry social workers, clinicians, and probation officers to ensure inclusive, responsive service delivery.
