Who We Are :

The Supervisor, Training role is required to manage all training requirements in the DC. The role is also responsible for the development of warehouse new hires, so they reach the desired expectations in a timely fashion while maintaining good attendance and working safely.

You will be responsible for providing back up coverage for other Supervisors.

What You Will Do :

  • Develops and oversees of the Operational Training Program for all front line colleagues;
  • Provides direct supervision to Training Supervisor and Training Team;
  • Develops and implements training teamwork schedules and assignments to assure effective and efficient training coverages for all new hires.
  • Makes recommendations to the General Manager for Training and Retention initiatives, developing and implementing those initiatives
  • Improve / Increase overall retention % based on KPI’s for turnover rates.
  • Coverages for other Senior Operations Supervisors as required :
  • Directs the operations of the warehouse personnel to achieve prescribed objectives
  • Matches the skill and background of personnel to work required.
  • Assesses and tracks performance management to ensure appropriate application of performance evaluation system for direct reports.
  • Develops and implements daily plan for allocating equipment to jobs
  • Ensures that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner
  • Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with customers and ensure that all
  • personnel do the same a timely fashion
  • Actively participates in organizational culture initiatives creating a culture where colleagues feel engaged and appreciated.

What You Will Need :

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (morning, afternoon, night), including weekends, with varying tasks
  • 1-3 years of training experience & knowledge, preferably within a Distribution Centre type setting
  • 1-3 years of Supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Computer systems knowledge (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work in a team-oriented environment
