Reporting to Manager, Special Projects Procurement, the successful candidate will have responsibility for governance and processes for materials inventory at Redwater Nitrogen Operations.

The incumbent will coach site users on effective cataloguing and is responsible for monitoring and correcting deficiencies in master data, controls and processes in place to maintain effective master data enabling millions of dollars of transactional spend annually and assisting in effective risk management to asset operations and safety in the field.

This individual will also track repairable inventory and own the preventative maintenance program for spare parts in the warehouse.

This role is based at our Redwater, Alberta site and is not eligible for remote work.

What you will do :

  • Governs integrity and compliance with inventory material standards, processes, guidelines and procedures at the site level
  • Provides site with expert level cataloguing advice, support, monitoring and training to ensure material master data is set-up, maintained and retired appropriately
  • Leads / facilitates approval for spare parts changes and addition of new stock and manages appropriate approval workflows to ensure timely processing between Master Catalogue and ERP
  • Supported by Central Inventory Optimization Team, leads site inventory review process including responsibility for coordinating reviews of inventory usage and validation of stock levels with Maintenance (Min / Max optimization)
  • Works with Maintenance, Warehouse Supervisor and Inventory Optimization and Planning Team to identify and execute optimization / rationalization & obsolecence opportunities
  • Manage inventory expedited materials to ensure appropriate stock strategy
  • Manages the preventative maintenance program for spare parts in inventory
  • Coordinates and tracks repairable spares

What you will bring :

  • Journeyperson, technician, or technologist certificate
  • Maintenance trades knowledge and understanding of how work is performed in an industrial setting
  • 3+ years relevant maintenance and / or operations experience
  • Strong knowledge of integrated processes within Procurement, Warehouse Management, Maintenance & Reliability, Planning & Scheduling, Capital and Turnaround Management preferred
  • Excellent computer aptitude Advanced Excel skills, SAP, sparesFinder, and working knowledge of Power BI, MS Office, Sharepoint, etc.
