Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
- Represent Sourcing during scheduled functional reviews and prepare Sourcing Review templates for leadership Business Reviews for NPI programs
- Engage with Supplier Quality Engineers to drive a robust process on Supplier Selection, Supplier qualification and monitoring Supplier Performance KPIs in order to develop supply base ability to deliver value
- Work effectively with technology, supplier quality, site materials and supply chain personnel on day-to-day problem resolutions, engineering change process and improvement opportunities
- Lead assigned sourcing initiatives and develop sourcing strategy to drive product lines deflation, sole source elimination, supplier early engagement, supplier on time delivery, supplier MOQ / lead-time reduction / VMI programs.
- Partner with key commodity sourcing leaders to align sourcing strategy, initiatives and leverage volumes globally and regionally
- Engage the business leadership team to develop sourcing programs / processes
- Conduct qualification & competitive analysis of vendor products / services
- Develop, plan, and manage programs to meet GE purchasing commitments in Sourcing
- Manage the complete purchasing and contracts ( MSA, NDA and Bailments)
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Management)
- Minimum of 5 years Sourcing / Purchasing experience in a major industrial environment

- Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization, or obtain work authorization in the short term.
- Proven change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 10 years strategic sourcing experience
- Knowledge / expertise of Grid Automation product lines, electronic components and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to collaborate with remote team across time zones
- Solid oral / written communication and influencing skills
- Interpretation of purchasing contracts, industry standards, regulatory requirement documents
- Project management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Expertise with negotiations and related analytical skills
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Windows, Excel)
- Leadership skills and ability to direct a cross functional team
- Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily
- Exposure to international contract agreements
- Highly motivated, self-directed and self-sufficient
- Purchasing system / Oracle experience
