This position will be predominantly located in Calgary, AB . Candidates must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather, and be willing to work early mornings or through the night, with possible weekend work.

Responsibilities (but not limited to) :
Fertilizing, including but not limited to, root injection of trees and soap application for insect control
Landscape maintenance
Planting & stump-grinding
Daytime & early morning skid-steer operations.
Early morning snow crews clearing walks and drives at commercial centers, shopping malls and residential properties.
Early morning sanding truck drivers to sanding parking lots.
Overnight skid-steer operations.
Overnight plow-truck operations.

Helps enforce on-the-job safety practices for crew members.
Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the work area.
Cooperates with customer, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, etc. to protect employees as well as the public.
Requirements :
Possess the ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record, air brakes endorsement a plus
Valid First-Aid and CPR cards preferred
Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, storm work) and will be subject to call-out work.
Must adhere to Wright Tree Service of Canada’s Employee / Contractor Smoking, Alcohol and Drug Policy Minimum Requirements handbook.
Experience working around excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, woodchipper and must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work outdoors, exposed to all temperatures and weather; will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants, biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.
May work on rough terrain.
