What You’ll Be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Inspect, service, maintain and repair diesel powered generators and diesel pumps, as well as electric submersible pumps of various voltages.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a complete and timely manner.
  • Service generators and pumps on customer jobsites (primarily an in-shop position).
  • Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety Policies.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Minimum of 1 year of related mechanical experience, working on generators is an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical systems and components and diesel engines is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
  • Relevant trade certificate would be an asset, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong electrical knowledge in 12volt dc and ac power systems is an asset.
  • Understanding of Tier 4 emissions and diesel pumps is an asset.
  • Valid G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
  • Must have a complete set of tools (or working on obtaining a complete set of tools).
  • Must be available to work overtime as required, and to work on an on-call rotation .
  • Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
