Shipper / Receiver (Temporary) #VSR2206 About Our Client Our client is a renowned supplier of specialty dry food blends, servicing industrial food manufacturers around the world.
Assist their team’s productivity by working with them as a shipper / receiver by operating a forklift with your valid / current forklift certification.
What You Will Be Doing, as a Shipper / Receiver :
- Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
- Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
- Ensure that all pertinent safety regulations with regards to safe operation of a forklift and safe handling of materials are adhered to.
- Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory.
- Analyze pick sheets based on clients' orders and pull the appropriate products for each order.
- Delivering product to various locations in company provided truck.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Shipper / Receiver :
- Requires a valid Forklift Operating Licence with minimum 1 year Canadian experience.
- Valid Class D drivers Licence with minimum 1 year Canadian experience not required but considered an asset.
- Understanding of production flow principles and manufacturing processes.
- High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a heavily scented / aromatic environment (spices)
In Return, You Will Receive :
$20 - $23 per hour depending on experience
The Shift You Will Be Working is :
- 1st shift (day shift)
- Weekend work as required (minimal)
- 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM
Where You Will Be Working, as a Shipper / Receiver :
- St. Catharines
- This position is NOT bus accessible personal vehicle is strongly preferred
