We are currently looking for BST certified Security Guards to join our team for long-term, permanent positions in the Vancouver Islands

Requirements

Job Description :

Lawful and Ethical Conduct : Act lawfully and with honesty and integrity. Treat everyone with courtesy, equality, and without discrimination.

Perform duties with a commitment to protecting store customers, employees, and assets.

• Licensing and Identification : Always carry a valid security worker's license while on duty.
• Punctuality and Appearance : Arrive on time, in uniform, and neatly dressed.
• Surveillance and Theft Prevention : Be vigilant for theft and assist store employees by creating a deterrent to theft through presence and apprehension of shoplifters.
• Arrest and Use of Force : Ensure arrests comply with the Criminal Code of Canada (Sections 494, 25 & 26).
• Pursuit of Suspects : Pursue shoplifters safely and only on foot. Do not engage in unsafe actions such as vehicular pursuits.
• Incident Reporting : Report all criminal incidents to store management and submit detailed reports before the end of your shift.
• Interaction with Customers and Employees : Limit conversations to necessary interactions and do not use personal electronic devices except in emergencies.
• Shift Protocols : Report to store management at the beginning of each shift and sign the security log.

Requirements :

• License : Valid Security Worker’s License.
• Certification : Current basic Security Training (BST) certificate
• Experience : At least 1 year of AST experience (required).
• Skills : Excellent communication, observational, and problem-solving skill
