Position : Access Control Security Guard

Site : London Health Sciences Centre - University Hospital Campus

City : London, Ontario

Status : Full Time

Hours : Friday - Monday 2000-0530hr

Pay Rate : $18.00 / hr

Job Description

The day-to-day work activities of an Access Control Security Guard include, but are not limited, the following duties :

• Control entry and access to the hospital
• Ensuring compliance with the standards, rules, and regulations at the hospital
• Able to use tact and diplomacy in dealings across a range of settings and situations
• Ability to maintain and enforce access control procedures
• Solid understanding of emergency and standard operating procedures
• Deal with trespassers and unauthorized persons found on the property, in a fair and safe manner, by enforcing the Trespass to Property Act
• De-escalate emergency / crisis situations

Requirements :

• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy
• Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
• Valid Ontario Security Licence
