Job Description :

• Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
• Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
• Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
• Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to) : Proactive / reactive interior & exterior patrols Response & assistance in emergency situations Documenting & reporting of any / all security events on shift Investigate routine incidents Patient watches CCTV monitoring Parking & smoking by-law enforcement Hospital policy awareness & enforcement Access control / key control Monthly safety inspections Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements :

• Minimum 6 month healthcare security experience required
• Experience with Use of Force (UoF) in a security environment required
• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved source)
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella MMR , Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2) Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire.

Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

• Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
• Ability to complete extensive patrols, to sit / stand for up to 12 hours per shift
• Ability to work alone and self-motivated
• Fluency in English (oral and written)
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills is required
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF / MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware : The UoF / MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position / availability
