SALES REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

• Schedule in-store visits weekly for new product introduction or order intake
• Prepare in-store meetings.
• Track presentations and promotional mailings.
• Act as an intermediary between retailers and suppliers for orders, warranty enforcement and issue resolution.
• Develop a specified territory by identifying and targeting new prospects.
• Communicate periodically with manager and suppliers.
• Provide a weekly activity report for your territory.
• Participate in meetings and trainings organized by the manager.
• Attend supplier events and trade shows.
• Set up displays in store.
• Provide training support to store staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Have relevant experience OR motivation to start a new career OR AEC in sales.
• Fully comfortable speaking and writing in English for supplier communications (French not required)
• Intermediate knowledge of the Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams)
• Know the retail and hardware industry (an asset).
• Have a valid driver’s license and a car to be able to travel daily as part of the job.
• Act in accordance with the values of RDTS and respect the rules of health and safety in the performance of his work.

TERRITORY

The ideal candidate would be in or close to the Oshawa area. The territory to be covered extends from east of Toronto up to Barrie, east to Kingston and north to Midland / Gravenhurst / Haliburton.
