Kraken is seeking a Sales and Marketing Administrator, reporting to the Director of Global Marketing, to assist our Marketing and Business Development teams.

The successful candidate will be highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once. This is an entry-level position and a great opportunity for someone interested in growing their knowledge of sales and marketing at a rapidly growing organization.

We are a diverse sales and marketing team operating across four time zones. This position will operate out of our headquarters in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland as the sales and marketing point of contact on site.

ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Tasks : Assist with purchases (promo items, tradeshow items, conference registrations, membership fees, etc.

  • Complete expense reportsComplete online research projects (new promo items, competitive research, etc.)Coordinate and schedule meetings, including securing space and catering if requiredTake meeting minutes / actionsUpdate task listsSecure hotel room blocks for large eventsComplete shipping paperwork and coordinate shipments with supply chainAssist with local event logisticsMaintain inventory of promo items in Mount PearlComplete data entry / tracking projects as assignedTrack budgetsMaintain an accurate and detailed master calendarReview and edit documents for proper grammar·
  • Organize and track charitable requestsMarketing Tasks : Assist in the development and refinement of marketing collateral including PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, flyers, and data sheetsAdd metadata to image galleryTake photos on siteSupport local tradeshows;

travel for tradeshows / events possible, but not requiredCoordinate with local vendors on interior graphics and branding updatesAssist with social media posts / draft social media copyUpdate marketing intranet page in SharePointSales Tasks : Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system databaseEnter sales contacts and opportunities in CRM systemAssist with quote developmentExtract and submit monthly reports from CRMAssist in production of sales tools and materialsOversee sales inbox, ensuring opportunities are directed to BD leadsProvide administrative support to the BD team as neededOther duties may be assignedQualificationsEducation : A minimum of an associates (2-year) degree or equivalent education and work experienceCommunication Skills : Exceptional proficiency in English, both verbal and writtenInitiative and Problem-Solving : Self starter with a proactive approach and willingness to tackle challengeTechnical Expertise : Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordOrganizational Abilities : Highly organized and detail-orientatedPrioritization and Multitasking : Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficientlyWork Environment Flexibility : Willingness to work fully in-person or in a hybrid model, with a minimum of three days a week in the office.

Time Management : Effective at juggling tasks and managing time, with strong prioritization skills.Preferred Skills;College degree in marketing, sales, or businessAn interest in growing into a sales or marketing rolePhotography and / or graphic design experienceExperience working with a CRM system.
