The Safety Officer’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

• Enforce company policies and procedures and Health and Safety Regulations
• Chair Safety Committee
• Assist with developing policies and plans to reduce employee risk
• Ensure safety training, classroom lectures, demos and hands-on instruction are completed
• Perform site / office inspections, investigate accident / incident reports
• Evaluate risks and hazards and suggest corrective action(s) if required
• Review and manage Corrective Actions as required
• Interpret, apply and explain suitable health and safety laws, codes and guidelines
• Providing day to day assistance to the Operations team
• Maintain confidential safety records and files (organizing, and maintain cabinets)
• Type and edit reports, verbal and written transcription
