Job Description :
Our client, a Federal Government agency, is seeking a Security Consultant with expertise in Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) for a one-year contract.
The consultant will primarily work remotely, with occasional onsite meetings in Ottawa.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Director Enterprise Application Architecture (DEAAS) to create and update security and accreditation (S&A) documentation.
- Assist in the enhancement of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) system by providing specialized documentation support.
- Conduct SA&A assessments and present recommendations in written reports to Senior Management.
- Develop Security Categorization Assessment Reports (SCAR), Security Concept of Operations, Security Requirements Traceability Matrix (SRTM), and design / implementation evidence supporting allocated security controls.
- Ensure compliance with ITSG-33 guidelines and NIST Cybersecurity frameworks.
Requirements :
- Post-secondary education from a Canadian institution. If education is from outside Canada, evaluation must be completed.
- Valid CISSP certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the last 7 years within the National Defence or National Intelligence domain.
- Experience conducting SA&A assessments and presenting recommendations to Senior Management.
- Proficiency in developing security documentation such as SCAR, Security Concept of Operations, SRTM, and design / implementation evidence.
- Strong knowledge of ITSG-33 guidelines and NIST Cybersecurity frameworks.
Additional Skills (Preferred) :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with Federal Government clients is a plus.
