GFL Environmental is looking for a Class 3 or 5 Roll Off Driver to join our Landfill team in Kamloops, British Columbia!

As an On-Site Landfill Roll Off Driver, you will be stationed at our landfill facility, playing a pivotal role in the efficient management of waste disposal operations.

Your primary responsibility will be to operate roll-off trucks to transport, unload, and position containers within the landfill site.

You'll work closely with landfill staff to ensure the timely and safe disposal of waste materials while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities :

Operate roll-off trucks to transport containers within the landfill site, positioning them in designated areas for efficient waste disposal.

Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to mechanic and supervisor immediately.

Operate truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures.

Follow all safety standards, equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties. Comply with all federal, state / provincial, local and company rules on safety and vehicle operation including any required customer specific rules or regulations.

Maintain clean vehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior of vehicle.

Maintain accurate records of services performed.

Attend safety and branch meetings.

May be required to work overtime

Requirements :

Possess a valid Class 5 or Class 3 Driver's license with air brake endorsement and a clear abstract.

Previous experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles preferred, with knowledge of waste management practices and equipment operation.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment

Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in varying weather conditions.
