Operational Oversight :

  • Manage the operations of five retail stores and a new eCommerce site, ensuring optimal performance and profitability.
  • Support store leaders in all aspects of their role responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient store operations, while safeguarding Inspired Style’s financial assets.
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor and support all aspects of customer and team experience and store operations.

Business Development :

  • Identify opportunities for new store locations and drive the implementation of the Shopify POS system to enhance customer experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally to create relevant content and in-store experiences that support Inspired Style’s seasonal campaigns and initiatives.

Team Leadership :

  • Lead and mentor a team of 30 employees, fostering a culture of independence and entrepreneurship.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of store leaders that reflect Inspired Style’s culture and values.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to optimize product displays, enhance customer experience, and drive sales.
  • Ensure each store leader’s accountability for the customer experience in the store they lead through hiring right, training right, and promoting ongoing development and retention of their store team members.
  • Support leaders relative to their development needs and business performance.

Revenue Management :

  • Oversee a total revenue of $3 million, working to improve the profitability of all locations.
  • Ensure the appropriate deployment of store labour and monitor labour relative to revenue, making timely adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct regular reviews of store schedules and make recommendations to optimize schedules to support achieving targets.

Customer Experience :

  • Accountable for all aspects of the in-store experience, ensuring a consistent experience that reflects the Inspired Style brand and values.
  • Responsible for bringing the voice of the customer’ into daily operations and representing their point of view at every touchpoint.
  • Monitor and act to ensure retail stores are customer-ready at all times and initiate process improvements to create ease and remove obstacles to store function.

Merchandising :

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies that optimize product displays and enhance the customer experience.
  • Support store openings and closings, ensuring merchandising standards and expectations are met.

Financial Responsibility :

  • Manage retail revenue to budget and metric performance to target.
  • Oversee profit and loss management by store location, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Ensure the appropriate deployment of store labour, managing labour costs within defined allowances.

Requirements

Requirements :

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset : Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive business improvements without constant guidance.
  • Retail Expertise : Experience in managing retail operations, preferably in a multi-store environment.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency with Shopify and POS systems implementation.
  • Leadership Abilities : Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing a motivated and efficient team.
  • Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a small budget and limited resources.
  • Merchandising Skills : Strong background in merchandising, with the ability to create visually appealing displays and optimize product placement to increase sales.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, eCommerce, and POS systems.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and previous experience in driving key retail KPI’s and store performance.
  • Proven experience in ensuring high customer and team member satisfaction to drive sales growth and manage store profitability.
  • Strong team player with creativity and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented individual who can multi-task and meet dynamic timelines.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and able to provide own transportation when visiting stores.
  • Proficiency with Shopify and POS systems implementation.
