Our AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada facility is looking for an energetic Receiver / Forklift Operator to join our Supply Chain Department in Chilliwack.

As a Receiver / Forklift Operator , you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments. You will ensure that material is received accurately and in a timely manner.

You will be responsible for keeping the yard organized and running smoothly. The Receiver / Forklift Operator will also build crates, boxes and / or containers, apply wrapping, labels and identification as required while adhering to safety procedures in getting the product shipped or delivered to the customer.

Essential functions for this role are :

• Receiving and verifying all incoming materials physically and within the ERP system.
• Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
• Liaising with Purchasing and Quality Departments on non-conforming, incoming goods.
• Liaise with Quality Department on incoming goods requiring inspection.
• Putting materials away and delivering them to the appropriate parties.
• Completing raw material requests (pick, issue, deliver).
• Measuring product to determine the crate size (width, height, and length) and do the add-ons where needed depending on the product mix,
• Labelling the crate with the correct window or door number,
• Filling out and handing in the crate sheet to production administration and labelling the crate with all the correct shipping labels and shipping information
• Ordering supplies in a timely manner,
• Maintaining an organized work environment, especially the raw material storage in the yard.
• In addition to your material handling duties, you will be a part of the Inventory team and will therefore be expected to help with the below duties on as as-needed basis : Cycle , issue, and stage work orders for the Production floor in advance of the schedule to ensure proactive actions to get part shortages in-stock on- anticipate needed parts for upcoming orders and maintaining parts inventory to ensure department does not run parts bins and reporting low levels and discrepancies to Supply Chain for reordering and investigatingIdentifying and reading vendor packing slips, carrier shipping documents and other receiving documents and comparing to purchase orders to ensure accuracy Working with the Supply Chain Team Leads on all aspects of warehouse functionsWork in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records
