We are looking for a Quality Technician reporting to the Supplier Quality Assurance Team Leader, whose main duties would be to coordinate the non-conformance process in quarantine and supervise the sorting team.
In this role, you'll have the chance to deepen your knowledge as a leader and apply your mechanical knowledge of the components used in the assembly of our recreational products.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :
- Take charge of the entire process of handling non-conformities in quarantine, from communicating the issue to the supplier to closing the file.
- Support other departments involved in sorting to optimize quality, labour efficiency and related costs.
- Work closely with the supplier quality assurance department on a daily basis.
- Ensure the smooth running of internal and external sorting activities by taking charge of start-up, manpower planning, sorting prioritization and optimization.
- Communicate and explain expectations to your team members to meet established performance objectives in terms of occupational health and safety, employee development and cost management, as well as keeping management informed of any critical issues.
- Act as a workplace coach to build a team committed to and involved in quality, continuous improvement, problem-solving and the search for innovative, sustainable solutions.
- Establish performance objectives and measurable indicators, communicating them while rigorously monitoring them.
- Manage the application of internal policies judiciously by promoting effective and harmonious working relationships with the human resources team and CRT.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES :
- A college diploma in mechanical or industrial engineering, or other related experience.
- Proficiency in reading 2D drawings, and assembly and manufacturing elements.
- Knowledge of various quality systems.
- Experience in people management and a supervisory role would be an asset.
- General knowledge of SAP software.
- An excellent communicator and team player with good influencing skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to change.
