TheLead QC Inspector is responsible for conducting and managing allFirstoff (First piece) inspection Inprocess inspection and Finalinspection activities including product certification anddocumentation.

He / She is responsible and accountable for ensuringthat each step of the manufacturing process has been correctlycompleted and all customer requirements are met according tocustomer and engineering documentationprovided.

Weare looking for a strong leader who will prepare reports bymeasuring and collecting data on product conformity productprocesses key performance Indicators (KPI s) on Quality processesand report to management regularly on an ongoing basis.

This personmust possess the ability to lead mentor and grow the QualityControlteam.

Thereare two main aspects to thisrole.

Performinghandson inspection of parts and assemblies using metrology testequipment such as micrometers height gages profile projectorsfunctional gages CMMetc.

Managingleading and mentoring the QC team and taking full accountabilityfor the performance of the team. This individual must be able togrow (or scale back) the QC team as the needs of the companyrequires.

Keyresponsibilities :

Mustbe proficient in all aspects of metrology as required inmanufacturing of high precision parts for aerospace and nuclearindustries.

Daily use of instruments such as micrometers heightgages profile projectors bore gauges CMM and various other toolsand gages.

Excellent skill in reading drawings and GD&Tsymbols is amust.

• Attendplanning meetings with the entire manufacturing team to determinebest method and sequences of inspectionactivities.
• Inspectand record values in the firstoff in process and final inspectionreports.
• Performand compile First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports for newproducts.
• Performand compile Final Inspection reports for final certification andshipment of product tocustomer.
• Performingroutine quality assessments on incoming raw materials hardware andproducts.
• AnalyzeMaterial Test Reports and other certifications to ensure compliancewith the specifications and / or customerrequirements.
• Candidatewill Inspect and analyze work order packages for completeness andaccuracy before stamp and sign off on final product certification.

Candidate is responsible for maintaining all inspection andcertification records for all workorders.

• Candidateis responsible for maintaining all equipment calibrations and allrecords ofsuch.
• Helpmachine operators with problem solving and setup adjustments inorder to achieve the desires results and improve productquality.
• Candidatewill lead and champion the NonConformance Reporting process bydocumenting nonconformances and leading rootcauseinvestigations.
• Leadand organize scheduling of the Quality Control departmentresources. This included prioritizing tasks as required by theProductionTeam.
• In aleadership position the candidate will hire train and mentor the QCteam. This individual will conduct regular reviews for performanceof team members with the HR Manager and is ultimately accountablefor the performance of the QC team.

The candidate must be able toenforce safety quality and company policies and always ensurecompliance with internal and externalregulations.

Thecandidate must have the leadership abilities required to educatethe production team on the use setup and care for quality controlinstruments and equipment which are managed and issued from the QCroom.

As well the candidate must have the ability to educate andinform the team on quality control processes concerns and standardsof productquality.

Candidatemust ensure that the inspection department workplace is maintainedas per industry standards. Must be kept neat clean andorganized.

Requirements

Qualification / experience :

• Matureand responsible person with a proactive approach to managing theQuality ControlTeam.
• Minimum8 years of experience inspecting metal parts in the aerospacenuclear or military industry (Highprecision machining parts) is aREQUIREMENT.
• Experiencein measuring gears is anasset.
• Candidateswith certificates for quality inspection quality controlengineering calibration techniques or calibration auditing will beanasset.
• Experiencein operation and programming of CMM (preferably MCOSMOS) testequipment Isrequired.
• Mustbe fluent in reading writing and speaking English with strongorganizational and leadershipskills.
• Musthave good computer skills in MS Office products (Word / Excel)internet andemail.
• Thoroughunderstanding of quality control standards procedures testing andinspectiontechniques.
• Physicalstamina to stand for lengthy periods of time and the ability to usespecialized inspection tools and machinery to test and inspectproducts.
• Abilityto work under pressure multitasking deadlines and changingpriorities.
• Strongteam player with managementexperience.
• AS9100and Controlled Goods Registered facility all employees must passsecurity assessments which include a police recordscheck.

Qualification / experience : Mature and responsible person with aproactive approach to managing the Quality Control Team.

Minimum 8years of experience inspecting metal parts in the aerospace,nuclear or military industry (High-precision machining parts) is aREQUIREMENT.

Experience in measuring gears is an asset. Candidateswith certificates for quality inspection, quality controlengineering, calibration techniques, or calibration auditing willbe an asset.

Experience in operation and programming of CMM(preferably MCOSMOS) test equipment Is required. Must be fluent inreading, writing, and speaking English with strong organizationaland leadership skills.

Must have good computer skills in MS Officeproducts (Word / Excel), internet and email. Thorough understandingof quality control standards, procedures, testing and inspectiontechniques.

Physical stamina to stand for lengthy periods of timeand the ability to use specialized inspection tools and machineryto test and inspect products.

Ability to work under pressure,multi-tasking, deadlines, and changing priorities. Strong teamplayer with management experience.

AS9100 and Controlled GoodsRegistered facility all employees must pass security assessmentswhich include a police records check.
