Job Description
We are currently looking for a purchasing agent, which will report to the Materiel Manager. The selected person will work in the purchasing team located at the head office in Les Cèdres, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Responsibilities :
- Send requests for quotes to suppliers, prepare Purchase Orders and purchase aeronautical products within established Company policies and requirements of the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
- Search for products to meet demand and negotiate the best prices with the suppliers.
- Search to ensure all suppliers of parts are approved by the Company and are listed in the Company Approved Vendors database;
- Seek and identify suppliers based on price, delivery time and quality.
- Ensure that the suppliers used are approved as per the Company procedures.
- Review material requirements on a daily basis.
- Other related duties.
Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing parts is an asset;
- Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written). Being a pan-Canadian company, bilingualism is required to ensure communications between all bases across the country.
- Good ability to use a computer and learn new software’s;
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and internet; knowledge of AS is an asset;
- Good communication and teamwork skills;
- Ability to negotiate;
- Good organizational skills.
