Job Purpose

The Project and Planning Specialist is a dual role and will encompass project management activities supporting all areas of the organization, as well as supporting planning activities for manufacturing.

From the Planning perspective, the Project and Planning Specialist will work closely with the MFG Manager to develop, maintain, analyze, coordinate and implement the production schedule.

This includes interfacing with all departments across the organization providing clear communication of the production schedule and priorities.

Additionally, the Project and Planning Specialist will play a central role helping to plan and coordinate all project activities at ICOR.

This can include R&D, Operations or Sales projects. The Project and Planning Specialist will also be responsible for coordination and delivery of custom design requirements for Sales Orders.

Role - Typical Duties

• Coordinate multiple projects including managing timelines, costing, deliverables.
• Estimate and organize time and resources required to complete projects and initiatives.
• Manage project stakeholders and provide updates on timelines, risks and contingency plans.
• Escalate issues impacting business objectives to management.
• Drive production, customer service planning activities using ERP system.
• Daily tracking of late jobs and developing contingency plans to meet customer commitments.
• Provide weekly loading assessment of departments within Operations.
• Track key performance indicator (KPI) metrics for manufacturing and projects.

Experience

• 1-3 years in a planning role.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Robotics or a related field is an asset.
• Experience with ERP / MRP.
• Excellent Excel experience (pivot tables, x-lookup) and comfortable with data analysis of larger datasets.
• Knowledge of typical process and procedures from different areas of the business (purchasing, manufacturing, sales, finance).
• PMP certified is an asset.
• Experience in Project Management and MS Project an asset.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment is an asset.
