Program Coordinator (Full time)

Aboriginal Supported Child Development Centre

The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is seeking a Coordinator of the Aboriginal Supported Child Development Program and reports to the Early Childhood Services Director.

Qualifications :

• Minimum Degree / Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related discipline.
• Current ECE, Infant Toddler and Special Needs Certification in BC is considered an asset.

Experience / Skills

• Educational degree and / or relevant post-secondary education and work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience working with children with special needs.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in an inclusive childcare setting.
• Demonstrated program management and strong staff supervision skills.
• Superior communication skills including : presentation skills, writing ability, computer proficiency, and authentic people skills.
• Proven experience in writing reports on activities, strategic work plans goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse clientele on an individual and group basis.
• Maintaining small caseload - ability to administer child assessments or screenings as necessary.
• Experience working with First Nations community is considered an asset.
• Valid BC Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract within the last 5 years.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (CRC).
• Starting wage $30 / hr. to $35 / hr. based on education and experience.
