• Plans and assigns work to production employees
• Implements policies and procedures
• Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
• Ensures effective employee relations
• Provides employee coaching and development
• Makes employment decisions and resolves employee issues through problem resolution
• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas; works to continuously improve in all areas
• Manages departmental performance measures, including efficiencies and provides regular progress reports to manufacturing manager
• Performs accident investigations
• Maintains proper inventory levels
• Manages department priorities
• Tracks absenteeism and time keeping

Ideal Requirements :

Education : Post secondary or equivalent experience.

• Experience : 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a automotive manufacturing environment.
