About the Opportunity

Westinghouse Electric Canada is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems and engineering consultant services for the Nuclear industry in Canada.

The successful candidate will join an innovative team that supports Westinghouse’s mission to provide clean energy solutions.

What will you do?

Your day to day :

To support the manufacturing operations team in the execution of manufacturing project commitments.

  • Planning processes and scheduling with work-in-progress production updates, fabrication completion and delivery updates.
  • Assist production leaders to create and instruct credible production plans and schedules that balance available capacity and resources.
  • Ensure work in progressing through production sequence
  • Prepare transportation documentation package, according to regulatory requirements ( TDG, import / export, etc...)
  • Support logistics planning for incoming / outgoing shipments.
  • Plan and manage inventory for work in progress, including surplus and excess inventory.
  • Timely release of internal deliverables to support production activities dependant on appropriate documents to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Support continuous improvement activities for planning, control, inventory, production and delivery lead times.

What will you bring?

Who you are :

  • 5 years experience in project-based manufacturing environment
  • Experience in production planning & control.
  • Proficient with scheduling software MS Project (P6 an Asset)
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Load and capacity planning
  • Inventory planning
  • Communicates well with others to convey information effectively.
  • Familiar with reading blueprints / drawings and schematics
  • Post-secondary diploma / degree in a related field (Business Admin, Technical, etc.)
  • SAP knowledge and experience an asset
