Job Overview
Provide planning, scheduling, and coordination of work for maintenance trades staff in hydroelectric facilities. Work requires extensive knowledge in WORK MANAGEMENT PRACTICES and use of a CMMS system (i.e. : asset suite).
Qualifications
Requires a general background at university level in subjects, such as mechanical, electrical and physics, to assess, coordinate and recommend plans for the programming of the commissioning, operation and maintenance of a large industrial operation.
Experience in Hydro or Thermal power generation is an asset. Requires a knowledge of English to prepare the necessary reports, proposals and recommendations.
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of 4 years of University training in an appropriate field.
Requires industrial generating station experience of the following types (a) shift operations / maintenance to be aware of the operating / maintenance procedures, field execution, and maintenance requirements.
b) Technical experience in a station technical group such as Engineering, (c) Experience as technician / assistant supervisor.
d) On-the-job experience having worked with procedures, policies, routines and personnel, etc. A period of over 6 years and up to and including 8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
Candidates must have experience is planning and scheduling.
