Position Summary

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will have your own workspace and will be reporting to the Pharmacy Manager within our Lethbridge pharmacy.

The position is responsible for technical functions concerning mostly filling of prescription and otc items and administration under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.

Your Day To Day

• Perform operational duties such as : inputting prescriptions ensuring legality & interpretation; verifying consent forms & patient information;
• assisting pharmacist with documentation, flagging Medication Reviews or professional services; third party management & reconciliation;

labeling and filling blister packages; and operating automated dispensing machines

• Maintain customer service expectations in a timely manner, knowing when to involve pharmacist
• Manage Stock inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned to support CareRx

Qualifications / Requirements

• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
• Superb customer service skills are essential
• Weekend and statutory holiday rotations are required
• Professional phone etiquette
• Fast and Accurate Data Entry skills

Preferred Skills

• Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in a related program
• Knowledge of Kroll system
• Long Term Care or hospital experience
