Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW)to join our team. This role offers flexibility to work in eitherhome care or hospital settings based on your preference.

Qualifications :

Education : Personal Support Worker Certificate; highschool or college diploma preferred.

Experience : Previous experience in a seniors home longterm care facility orhospital is an asset.

Technical Skills : Proficiency with MS Word and email communications.

Certifications :

Valid First Aid and CPR certification.

Proof of current immunizations for MMRV (measles mumpsrubella varicella).

Proof of negative TB skintest within the past year or negative chest xray within the pastfive years.

Other Requirements : Recent PoliceBackground Check.

Preferred : Membership with theOntario Personal Support Workers Association.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide residentswith assistance in daily living activities including bathingdressing grooming meal preparation and mobility support.

Administer medication reminders and light housekeepingduties as required.

Demonstrate an ability tomanage challenging behaviors in a calm and professionalmanner.

Foster positive relationships withresidents families and coworkers contributing to a supportive teamenvironment.

Utilize strong verbal and writtencommunication skills to effectively report on resident status andcollaborate with the care team.

Exhibit strongorganizational and time management abilities capable of workingindependently and under pressure.
