Location : Variouslocations across Saskatchewan

Asa Permit Technician / Permit Clerk you will play a key role inprocessing and managing building permits and related applications.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing permit applicationsensuring compliance with regulations and providing support toapplicants throughout the permittingprocess.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Processand review building permit applications ensuring they meet localcodes zoning regulations and safetystandards.
  • Issuepermits and manage the permit tracking system including enteringdata and maintaining accuraterecords.
  • Provideassistance and information to the public contractors and otherstakeholders regarding permit requirements andprocedures.
  • Reviewconstruction plans and documents for completeness and compliancewith applicableregulations.
  • Coordinatewith various departments and agencies to facilitate the permitapprovalprocess.
  • Handlepermit fees including calculating and processingpayments.
  • Prepareand maintain reports and documentation related to permitapplications andapprovals.
  • Stayinformed about changes in building codes regulations and permittingprocedures to ensure accurate and uptodateinformation.

Requirements

  • Relevantcertification or diploma in Administrative Support ConstructionManagement or a relatedfield.
  • Previousexperience as a permit technician permit clerk or in a similaradministrative role within a regulatory or constructionenvironment.
  • Strongorganizational skills with attention to detail for managing permitapplications andrecords.
  • Excellentcommunication skills for interacting with applicants contractorsand municipalofficials.
  • Proficiencyin using office software and permit managementsystems.
  • Abilityto stay current with changes in building codes regulations andpermitprocesses
