Maple Leaf Foods Port Perry is currently accepting applications for those who are available to work as Permanent Part-time Production Operators in our Manufacturing Production department.

Our Port Perry plant, located at Old Simcoe Rd, Port Perry, ON L9L 1L8, specializes in making savoury meat pies that consumers love! We produce 60 different varieties of meat pies and meat-filled pastries under our own name and private-labels for our foodservice, healthcare, hospitality customers, as well as our retail consumers.

Rate

Starting wage : $16.55, Top rate : $19.93

The Opportunity

The Permanent Part-time General Labour position is responsible for performing packaging, assembly, clean-up, and other elemental activities related to food processing.

This position requires the person to be part of a team working towards specific production goals.

Experience, Competency, Schedule Requirements

• Punctual and reliable. Able to be at work every day, on time.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
• Able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to interact and share information with Team Members at all levels.
• Good communication skills. Preferred fluency in English.

Maple Leaf Foods Port Perry currently operates three lines across two rotating shifts. The day shift schedule runs 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, and the afternoon shift schedules runs 4 : 00 pm to 12 : 30 am.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, as work schedules will vary week to week across two production shifts, up to 24 hours per week.
