ROLE OVERVIEW
The People Partner will have the opportunity to contribute to company performance by providing tactical support and consulting on people strategies in support of and aligning with business objectives, and perform people-related duties at the professional level while supporting multiple departments or functional areas in the Corporate environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build strong business relationships with internal customers
- Apply organizational values in personal performance and ensures People & Culture services are aligned with these values
- Facilitate Induction program for new hires
- Consult with team members and management, providing People & Culture policy guidance and interpretation when appropriate
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers
- Support People & Culture business processes through utilization of HRIS modules
- Assist with resolving employee relations issues including conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Act as a performance improvement driver for individuals and teams, and provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (E.
G., COACHING, COUNSELING, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS)
- Work closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Identify training needs for individuals, teams, and business units and individual executive coaching needs
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Three or more years of People & Culture experience with preferred full-employee-life-cycle experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The ideal candidate works well independently with support from corporate and thrives in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, juggling multiple priorities with speed and accuracy
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Deep knowledge of employment related federal and CA state employment laws, programs, and best practices
- Must demonstrate strong ethics and influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning
- Highly proficient in MS Office (WORD, EXCEL AND POWERPOINT) and G-Suite
- Human Resources Certification : PHR desired
- BA BS Degree in Business is preferred
- English, additional language(s) an advantage.
