Our client in the PEEL REGION are seeking On-Call School Secretary 's for the current school year (2024 / 2025) on a CASUAL basis

These positions are short term - varying in length (1 day - 1 week - 1 month or more). You must be available on a last minute / on call basis (95% of the time you will hear about opportunities the SAME morning)

• All Shifts will be between Monday - Friday during elementary and secondary school hours within the PEEL REGION (Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, Georgetown)
• They may range from ASAP start (8am) - 4pm EST OR sometimes half days too.
• This position will be paying $17.50 / hour

EVERY ELIGIBLE CANDIDATE MUST COMPLETE A VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK TO BE CONSIDERED

If you have previously completed a VSC you are STILL eligible)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Communicating in a positive manner with staff, students, co workers, parents and visitors.
• Answering phone calls, taking messages and answering inquires.
• Distributing mail.
• Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
• Maintaining files and financial records
• Preparing memorandums, letters, reports, handbooks, rough drafts.
• Maintain attendance reports, leave records and trip records.
• Order, distribute and keep an inventory of supplies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must already have valid Vulnerable Sector Screening copy prepared to provide. (must not be past 6 months)
• Must have a high school diploma and 2 years of clerical / secretarial experience.
• Maintaining various organizational systems needed at the school or department.
• Knowledge and proficiency in the use of all MS Office programs.
