Position Overview :

Seeking an experienced Nanny / Housekeeper for a residence located in Calgary. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence.

This position is full-time, live-out, Tuesday to Saturday 12pm - 8pm with some flexibility required. Travel is required with the family during summer months.

Candidate Profile :

You are an experienced, nurturing, and trustworthy childcare professional who is comfortable multitasking. You tidy as you go, balancing basic housekeeping and laundry tasks along with your childcare responsibilities.

You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You have a good eye for detail and are comfortable working both while the family is home and away.

You have experience working with infants and are comfortable cooking simple meals in the kitchen and helping with food preparation.

Primary Responsibilities :

Daily childcare duties including bathing, feeding, playing, changing, and hygiene

Housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning

Maintain household inventory in conjunction with other staff members

Basic meal prep and cooking for the children

Daily laundry, occasional ironing and steaming, follow washing instructions for certain fabrics

Trash and recycling management

Occasional driving of principals

Help maintain children’s schedules

Running errands, grocery shopping, and other provisioning as needed

Other duties as required from time to time

Applicant Qualities :

Must have previous experience working with children in a private residence

Strong housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces

Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries

Applicants must be service oriented with excellent English communication skills

A full, valid driver's license

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
