MWD’s Specialist (Measurement While Drilling) Calgary, AB

Airswift is seeking a Measurement While Drilling Specialist to join one of our major energy oil & gas clients in Calgary, AB.

This is an initial 6-month contract with a huge possibility to be extended.

Key Responsibilities

• E nsure drilling an oil or natural gas well stays on target.
• Measure the drill's incline, the drill's depth, and the azimuth, or direction, of the drill to develop a three-dimensional plot of a wellbore.
• Provide real-time data during the drilling operation, allowing Directional Drillers to steer a drill properly.
• Collect and interpret data that measures the trajectory of a horizontal oil or gas well as it is being drilled.
• Notice that the information provided by MWD specialists provides decision-making support and allows directional drillers to steer the drilling operation and conform to a drilling plan.
• Must be able to lift the MWD tool, safely rig in, and operate the equipment.
• Perform day-to-day inspections, servicing, and maintenance of equipment.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.

The successful candidate needs to be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications :

• The overall scope of work and skillset remains the same as previous MWD roles we have posted previously (Drilling / Directional Drilling experience)
• Must have own truck. Work Schedule
• Rotation : 21 / 7 approximately
