Millwright Mechanic

Job Description

Our client is a sheet metal manufacturer in the HVAC Industry and they are looking at hiring for a Licensed Millwright Mechanic.

Location -Markham Rd / Finch Ave in Scarborough

Shift -Monday to Friday 7am to 3 : pm. Must be flexible to work afternoon 4pm to : am if required.

Pay (DOE)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure proper mechanical and electrical functioning of plant equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components and have a general working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Knowledge and Experience working with machine tools (lathe, milling machine,etc).
• Must have experience with Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems
• Repairing and performing routine maintenance on production equipment riveters, roll formers, piercing / metal forming equipment).
• Maintaining logs and records of work performed as well as materials and equipment used.
• Responsible for checking and calibrating instruments.
• Responding immediately to emergency situations.
• Must be familiar with the use of measuring tools and safe operation of hand tools including grinders, drills, mechanical saws, sanders, and buffers.

Requirements

• Possess Journeyman Industrial Millwright Certification
• 3-5 Years of Industrial experience
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and listening skills
• Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Morning Shift position but able to work afternoon shift if needed.
• Experience in sheet metal industry an asset.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a millwright in a manufacturing setting
• Holds a valid Industrial Millwright Mechanic license.
• Excellent understanding of Safety in an industrial environment.
• Position requires flexibility in working rotating shifts and must be able to work weekends.
• Strong mechanical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
