Our client, an environmental group located in Hamilton, is actively recruiting a Millwright for their composting facility.
This position will expose a candidate to strong odors so a tolerance for this is a must. This position is straight days , and you would work with a small and amazing team of professionals. What we Offer :

What you’ll be doing :
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Inspect and examine machinery and heavy equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Fabricate parts required and maintenance or set-up.
- Preventive maintenance on a schedule determined by need.
- Read mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematic drawings to determine work procedure.
- Machines including conveyors, grinders, hoppers, pumps, valves, blowers and vacuums.
- Coordinate and work with service contractors when needed.
- Keep track of and order parts as needed.
- Participate in H&S meetings, monthly inspections and complying with OHSA assisting with on-site inspections.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for :
- 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) MUST HAVE.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings.
- Previous experience with heavy equipment, electrical and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA controls.
- Welding and fabrication an asset.
- Able to maintain service standards and complete work orders.
- This position requires shared on call duties and so you must be open to working some hours on the weekend.
