The ideal candidate for the Medical Health Officer role at Island Health is a dedicated and compassionate public health physician with a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Public Health and Preventive Medicine (or Community Medicine) with an interest in public health practice that combines addressing complex health issues such as substance use with tackling emerging challenges like climate change impacts on health.
With excellent communication skills, you excel at collaborating with diverse stakeholders, from community members to government officials.
