We’re looking for a mechanic team leader at Autobus Yamaska in the Eastern Townships.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME ON BOARD?

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, parts supply and management, as well as daily, weekly and annual planning.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles to ensure fleet reliability and safety in the short, medium and long term;
• Diagnose, identify and repair various operational problems quickly and efficiently;
• Determine and propose parts to be replaced to its manager;
• Manage the bus fleet;
• Welcome new recruits;
• Evaluate personnel;
• Manage staff leave;
• Assign tasks to mechanics;
• Follow-up on mechanics’ tasks;
• Follow up on work zone repairs;
• Seek the best cost / quality ratio for repairs;
• Analyze critical events;
• Procure materials and manage parts.
• Participate in tool purchasing;
• Monitor warranties;
• Ensure annual, monthly and weekly planning;
• All other related tasks.

Working hours :

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift

Salary :

Starting at $ / hour, depending on experience

Requirements

• DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics or relevant experience;
• Minimum 4 years experience in heavy vehicle mechanics
• Knowledge of diesel mechanics;
• Knowledge of electric propulsion;
• Knowledge of Cummins, Wabco, Outlook and Allison software;
• Knowledge of hydraulic brakes.
• PEP card (an asset);
• Valid Canadian work permit.
