Drafting Coordinator Corunna, ON

As a Drafting Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting drafting and document control for industrial and construction projects.

Your work ensures technical drawings are accurate, high-quality, and meet project deadlines. You will be collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met efficiently and effectively.

Must Haves

  • 2+ years of drafting experience in industrial or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., SpoolFab, Acorn).
  • Understanding of isometrics, technical drawing standards, and relevant codes.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.

Nice to Haves

  • Degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards like ASME B31.3 and Section VIII.
  • Experience working in a fabrication shop or industrial environment.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update spool drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage and distribute job information, maintaining document control standards.
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve technical issues and provide updates on drafting status.
  • Collaborate with QA / QC teams on nonconformance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Analyze data, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and quality.
