We are currently hiring for a Lock Assembly Technician to join a growing team in Etobicoke. The ideal candidates for this role should possess strong mechanical aptitude.

Job Type : Full-time

Salary : $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Hours : 37.5 per week Monday to Friday

Additional Pay : Bonus pay

Job Overview

Join our team as a Lock Assembly Technician staff member. In this role, you'll work with door lock systems, prepare orders, manage inventory, and occasionally support on-site tasks.

Training is provided for all responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble / disassemble door locks
• Use key cutting and engraving machines
• Key alike and master key cylinders
• Prepare and label orders
• Manage stock and inventory
• Occasional on-site support and extra hours

Requirements

• Ability to sit for long periods at a workbench; occasionally stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
• Capable of comprehending and following written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn enterprise software (NetSuite) and locksmithing tools.
• Ability to clearly read and write for documentation purposes.
• Comfortable with basic high school-level math.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical concepts.
• Willingness to operate a forklift (training and certification provided).
• Ability to lift boxes weighing 45 to 75 lbs

Preferred Experience

• Locksmithing or door hardware installation
• Machining, milling, or light assembly
• Property maintenance
• Technical customer service
• Enterprise software usage (e.g., NetSuite)
• Forklift operation (preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience in building materials distribution or carpentry supply
