Job Description : We are looking for a skilled and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Meat and Seafood Clerk.

In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional service to our customers by ensuring the highest quality and freshness of our meat and seafood products.

Responsibilities :

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers in selecting meat and seafood products
• Receive, inspect, and properly store meat and seafood shipments, adhering to food safety standards
• Prepare meat and seafood products for display, including filleting, trimming, grinding and packaging
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat and seafood department, including display cases and work areas
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking meat and seafood products
• Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of meat and seafood items
• Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain product freshness and safety
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and provide exceptional customer service

Requirements :

• Previous experience in a meat or seafood department preferred
• Knowledge of different cuts of meat, seafood varieties, and preparation techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow food safety protocols
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects, work inside fridges and freezers and stand for extended periods
