Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a senior Canadian crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an aggressive exploration, development, and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

PRIMARY FOCUS

The Measurement Coordinator will be primarily responsible for scheduling and validating calibrations and gas sample analysis’ using ProTrend software.

This role involves working closely with different departments to ensure data accuracy, integrity and that our Business Processes are being adhered to.

This is a full-time in office position with periodic travel to our field locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for, or assist with the following :

  • Maintenance and validation of gas analysis’ in ProTrend; ensure data within ProTrend is accurate and up to date. Duties include but are not limited to new well setups, sample point and meter setups, month end validations and sample exports to various systems.
  • Maintenance and validation of ProTrend Meter Calibrations; ensure calibrations are uploaded, validated and schedules / frequencies are updated.

Compile and distribute annual and quarterly Calibration Schedules to Maintenance Foreman.

  • Assist in generating sample point and calibration tags to send to the field.
  • Communicate failed samples and calibrations to responsible operations personnel to ensure resampling and / or maintenance is conducted. .
  • Maintain ProTrend attributes including but not limited to hierarchy, cost centers, foreman, routes, etc.
  • Work with Production Accounting, FDC on compositional discrepancies between systems utilizing the Power BI comparison tool.
  • Work with field to ensure effluent test data is entered into ProTrend and stored in central location.
  • Validation of RTU gas composition loads to be reviewed monthly.
  • Review post commissioning of new wells for the area of responsibility for accuracy, ensure initial samples and calibration have been or are scheduled to be conducted.
  • Assist in completing manual gas composition uploads to non-compatible RTU’s.
  • Assist in yearly data gathering for annual EPAP audit.
  • Assist with measurement schematic maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSET

  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Science, or certificate in a technical field would be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency or knowledge of Critical Control’s Protrend application would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of both Directive 017 Measurement Guidelines and BCER Measurement Guidelines would be beneficial.
  • Analytics and / or production operations knowledge.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills are required.
  • Self-starter with the ability to self-prioritize tasks.
  • Team player with a proven ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines and demonstrate sound judgement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills are necessary to engage with Stakeholders and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Able to work independently within a small team environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Power BI knowledge would be considered an asset.
