Job description :

We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven individual to join our supply chain team as a Material Planner and Coordinator.

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring raw materials, components and sub-assemblies are delivered to clients production sites to support production schedule and sales goals.

This individual must fully understand client supply chain and production operations and relentlessly pursue operational excellence and continuous improvement.

This role involves daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement. This is typically global in scope and requires cross-functional engagement within client and across the extended supply chain / Engineering and Project Management.

Responsibilities :

• Create and deploy supply requirements to the supply base via MRP which achieves production, inventory, and cost objectives
• Deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage,, run-out reports and other analyses as needed
• Manage engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory and ensure continuous supply and maintain minimum stock levels
• Engage with engineering in regards to bill of material changes, release xCOs and will be responsible to analyze the effect on the production floor / update client ERP System
• Collaborate with MPM, GSM, Manufacturing team to ensure alignment on material requirements and production plans
• Identify and mitigate any potential risks to production schedules due to material shortages, supplier issues, or other factors
• Escalate to commercial or technical partners when required (GSM, Manufacturing & Quality, etc.) for any help required
• Analyze backlog, current projects, and upcoming projects to prioritize, plan and schedule material needs
• Execute purchase orders based on requisitions released and Manage accuracy of open purchase orders
• Ensure suppliers confirm all purchase orders and provide committed ship dates
• Work with Accounts Payable and Finance to resolve invoice and credit processing issues
• Complete WO closures and assign picking lists to appropriate staff, ensuring all Projects are accurate and completed on time in order to meet customer delivery expectations
• Communicate with Key Stakeholders like Sales or Project management or Supply Chain Program management on the status
• Partner with Key stakeholders in SC on planning process and system improvements
• Ability to wear multiple hats from planner, buyer, supply chain coordinator is required for this flex role

Requirements :

Degree in supply chain management, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position Strong knowledge of MRP / ERP with a solid understand of discrete manufacturing, bills of material, product lifecycle management, procure to pay processes and supply chain Strong organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management. Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency in Office / GSuite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
