Location : Ancaster, Ontario Canada (100% onsite)
Full-time permanent

Hourly rate : $34.62 $37.25

As our next Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring and adjusting mechanical and hydraulic presses as per established procedures.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Improves throughput of operations by optimization of processes.
- Documents changes to setpoints, programs, and parameters using the Process Change Log, Master program and RID systems
- Reduces downtime by executing Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
- Identifies nonstandard conditions and communicates them to the Production Supervisors for resolution
- Decreases expenses by ensuring the optimum utilization of resources such as tooling, labour, material and energy.
- Sets up, monitors, adjusts and maintains mechanical and hydraulic presses per established procedures
- Troubleshoots and resolves automation, throughput, and Product Quality issues
- Reviews process sheets, General Assembly, and technical documentation to understand and execute job requirements
- Minimizes unplanned downtime by performing cleaning, Total Productive Maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
- Maximizes production of Quality Product through continuous improvement initiatives, process monitoring, and proactive measures
- Provides training and leadership to Production Associates to ensure quality and production requirements are met
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 are conformed to
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For :
- Minimum Post-Secondary Mechanical Engineering Technology / Manufacturing Engineering Technician Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in a high speed manufacturing environment
- Experience on a Coining press preferred
- Track record of continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment an asset
- Experience in setting multi-level die sets, CNC controls and sequence controls an asset
Technical & Skill Requirements :
- Able to read blueprints
- Strong mechanical ability
- Computer literate
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands) :
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
- Manufacturing environment with limited climate control
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
