We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to work at a manufacturing plant in the Fraser Valley. You will be managing about 20 tradespeople.

You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

This is a full-time position with great benefits and a straight daytime morning shift (4x10s).

Shift :

You will most likely be working Monday to Thursday (4x10s) from 6am-4 : 40pm with flexibility to start at 7am or 7 : 30am if required.

Your tasks as a Maintenance Supervisor :

  • Managing / coaching / guiding / mentoring a team of 20+ tradespeople
  • Guidance of preventive maintenance and repairs of industrial production equipment (mixers, slicers, stuffers, packaging lines, conveyor systems, etc.)
  • Running and managing installation projects
  • Provide leadership to hourly maintenance personnel to ensure consistent quality of work, attainment of safety and productivity goals / standards.

Direct all related personnel actions, including coaching, cross-training, assessing performance, safety, and grievance procedures

Ensure implementation of the Prevention Maintenance Program with focus on preventing the plant from equipment breakdowns.

This would include inspections; and appropriate assignments of maintenance tasks / activities work.

  • Ensure the Prevention Maintenance Program is applied to all equipment.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations
  • Continuous improvement
  • Implementation and training of safety programs

Job requirements as a Maintenance Supervisor :

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a manufacturing environment (ideally food mfg)
  • Valid Trade Certification (Red Seal Millwright or Electrician)
  • Experience leading a team of at least 10 people; someone with a firm but fair leadership style
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a cool / cold environment
  • A team player with a friendly and positive attitude
